What is time?
Is it real? Is it an illusion?
Here is my inner experienced knowing, shared for you to take the parts you deem useful. Please leave the rest without judgment as you journey along in your own investigations.
This cosmos is made of spheres, of spheres within spheres.
The creational process in this cosmos involves unfurling these spheres into spirals. Like peeling an apple in one single peel.
Once creation begins, time begins. It is a simple function of the spiral’s linearity.
The spiral is linear regardless of how quickly it twists and turns along its way.
Time is simply linearity observed.
When we are in differing dimensional perspectives, able to view multiple layers of reality (there are sooo many layers of reality), we experience time differently both in its rate and in our ability to move through and around in it with temporal spots being the same as we are used to experiencing geographical spots.
Here in our human embodiment, a vital aspect of the journey at this time involves embracing linearity even if we also have begun to excel at time hopping or simply remember it within as a natural experience from other lives.
This is how social constructs of time began. A method for conveniently communing with other humans across wider and wider swaths of people.
“I’ll meet you at the river to fish when the sun has just crossed the horizon into morning…” inevitably leads us to “I’ll meet you at the place by the thing where we went that time1” and the ubiquitously stacked up meeting culture so prevalent in most organizational environments. 🤣
Now we find ourselves in a society that is highly regimented by forms of time which have actually been completely severed from the rest of the natural world.
This is a deep violence to us all.
The most artificial of these can be traced back to trends of “working,” trading based cultures that shift into labor basis, and the ever ramping up demand for “productivity.”
We see this most strongly with the shift away from seasons and phases of days into specific days becoming the singular point of focus, and then specific time points within those days.
Organic time aligns our mental awareness and activities to our body as one component of Earth and the local lands and waters.
The sun rise and set has dictated our time window for the best use of our eyesight until only very recently in human history.
The two equinoxes give us the days of equal light and dark while the two solstices give us the tipping point of maximum light and maximum dark respectively.
Seasonal shifts and impacts vary depending on location but generally influence what can be grown and when it should be harvested making planting phases and harvesting phases a natural.
The imposition of the daylight saving time rule creates well-documented physical and emotional harm to people.
I find it very interesting how its timing is such that it disrupts our bodies as they slowly settle into the post-equinox shifts of shorter or longer days and nights.
For many years, I have been in a gentle occasional inward inquiry about my own human relationship with time.
I have intentionally been rewilding in many ways and one of these is related to time. One consequence I am noticing this autumn season is how even more so than any year before my body is immediately ready for bed as soon as the sun goes down. This has been building in recent years, but soooo dramatic this year!
Given I live almost at the 49th latitude, this is creating quite an interesting puzzle for my life design for this winter! I have been adding red lights in to my home environment for outside of daylight hours and simply letting myself sleep earlier for now.
I’ve been very interested in the idea of calendar reform.
Our calendars feel so stilted and artificial to me. Where is a calendar that can actually SUPPORT my relationship with Earth and the deep sacred current of lifeforce as its primary purpose rather than severing it?
I have yet to find anything that feels useful and instead have focused exclusively on simply being ever more in charge of how my own time is allocated.
Boundaries are so vital at every level as we deepen into embodied essence: what is me, what is not me, what is mine to do/focus on and what is not?
With our big beautiful brains, we are designed for pattern recognition, so seeking mental models that support our life design and our understanding of ourselves in the larger cosmic story is natural to us.
Astrology has been one such way of understanding our rhythms and possibilities.
In my own personal experience, I have never found natal astrology charts provided to me to be useful or feel accurately reflecting of me. Even when I have adored the astrologer themselves and found some of their own direct intuitive sharing to be partly useful or fun, the data as assembled by astrology for my personal human has always fallen flat.
Let me be clear here that I am no astrology expert nor do I desire to become one.
I was vaguely aware there are multiple systems used for astrology and that there was one main one most seemed to use. (this is tropical astrology by the way)
I loosely paid attention for about a year or two to planetary aspects shared by astrologers as at times these felt related to what I was inner receiving/seeing/knowing about the planetary level energies.
Ultimately I felt these also felt forced and off and I ignored them.
Then I learned that tropical astrology is actually not based on the actual placements of the stars in relationship to Earth and I realized OH, I GET WHY NOW.
I feel the stars as beings, just like Earth.
Imagine if you were looking at a shared online calendar with your family or friends to see if they would be available to get together and do a house project or a dinner party on a specific day.
Everyone agrees, yes let’s do it! Then come the day, you are all alone! WHY???? Did they abandon you?
Nope. The calendar was not accurately reflecting where they would be and where you would be at the times in question. You thought the dinner was tonight when they thought it was in two weeks! 🤦🏻♀️ No wonder it didn’t work!
This is what has happened with tropical astrology. Thousands of years ago it was decided to change the method (I won’t get into why but will leave a reference source below for those wanting to go deeper2), to essentially fix the measurements in place in a different manner.
Further, it was decided to no longer calculate things based on the actual sizes of the constellations used as the signs. Instead, they would be artificially established at 30 degrees each.
I don’t know about you, but I sure hate to be jammed into a one size fits all box…
As a result, tropical astrology has fallen so far out of sync with the actual relationship of Earth and sky that it is roughly 24 YEARS ahead of time.
Been feeling rushed lately? Anyone?
And even further, a 13th relevant constellation was erased from the astrology wheel, Orphiuchus (we come to this in a bit) and not just because no one can tell you how to accurately pronounce it… 🤣🤷🏻♀️
I became aware of all this in greater depth probably a year or two ago and was both horrified and satisfied to have another understanding of WHY people are so out of touch with their inner rhythms and that of the planet. There are other reasons, but I only have so much TIME for this right now (get it? LOLOLOL, I’ll probably keep the bad puns coming… it’s intrinsic!)
I started looking at calender alternatives.
None of them were friendly or useful to me. I paid for expert sessions to understand how things worked a bit including working with sidereal, vedic, Mayan and other models. It was all a big NOPE for me.👀🙄🤷🏻♀️.
Then last year I happened upon this site for something called true sidereal or cosmic astrology, where they they offer a free calculator3. To my great surprise, I felt the output from this was really on point for me, the very first time I felt this way!
On Saturday, I attended another fun ceremony with Hawaiin mystic, Ke’oni Hanalei who you’ve heard me speak of before. It was super fun and activating and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you check it (the replay is available here, I have no financial affiliation).
This one was on ‘The Series of Ages: The Completion of Pisces’ and went into investigation of what’s happening with the transfer of the current age of Pisces into Aquarius and also went into the previous shift of Aries into Pisces (spoiler alert, this all deeply relates to patriarchy culture of war and competition, see the replay for the deep dive).
At the end of it, I volunteered to share some perspectives which looked like this:
The main thing I was commenting on was in response to discussion of how the astrology signs in the standard 12 sign wheel are seen to have an opposite, are looked at in pairs. The discussion was about what the opposite sign’s function for grounding or balancing might be.
I spoke into the resurrection and restoration of Ophiuchus - which I feel is related to the attempted erasure of the sacred feminine - and how adding her back into the wheel would change the dynamic from binaries to trinity.
I loved Ke’oni’s response! What do you think? Do you agree with us? Is this the pathway out of competition culture?
And then the next day, I couldn’t let go of the obsession of creating a way to map the correct triads for the signs based on the correct allocation of space, time, location of the full 13 constellations into the wheel.
This felt like an insistent energy demanding to be poured through me.
So that is what I spent literally my entire Sunday doing… (PS this is such a classic gifted brain thing to have happen…4) and now most of my Monday writing up…
I used the data from the site where I had gotten my own “true sidereal” chart and added the initial dates and sign names to the wheel. I regularly forget what the astrology symbols mean! LOL. I’m super visual and this visual work was where I needed to start in order to get a handle on it.
As you can see, here we have each sign proportionately represented in the wheel based on its size:
Isn’t it interesting to feel your body react to the allocation of size with more accuracy? My whole body relaxed so deeply when the artificial 30 degree formation was removed. It was like the feeling of letting out a deep breath when you weren’t aware you’d even been holding it.
Virgo is so huge! Lots of work to be done perfecting how everything fits together and it does NOT want to be rushed!
Pisces is also quite big, don’t rush this energy, the boundless frontier explorer of new horizons, the dreamer of the most beautiful dreams must be supported to fully gestate!!
Above you can also see the black triangle I dropped in to represent the triad concept across signs.
Here is a summary table of data I then calculated to arrive at the accurate trinity relationships based on the center degree point of the sign in question. Please feel free to check my math if you are in the nerd vibe like I was!!!
Here are the triads shown visually around the wheel. This was a huge pain in the ass to do and mostly satisfying. I feel my own digital skill wasn’t exactly at the level for what I most wanted it to look like but ultimately decided it felt energetically coherent enough for sharing!
Obviously some are bigger and are therefore called upon to partner more often.
How does it feel for you to consider a fair allocation of contribution effort according to organic intrinsic design?
To me this feels fully rational and fair and a fundamental principle for the coming society for all.
In order to achieve this, however, we must first complete the individuation process of the age of Aries which was interrupted by the astrology reforms.
Recall that the cosmos is designed for DIFFERENTIATED COMMUNION. The individuation process must be fully matured within and embodied before a fair allocation of contribution effort can occur.
Here are the triads shown with bubbles representing how often they show up across the wheel - 3, 2, or, 1:
I’m getting interested in how these relate to Earth’s evolution now, in a way I never was before. Considering my primary reason for being here for most of my human life has been for Earth, this could get fun!
I then placed the signs across the current standard Gregorian calendar for the remainder of 2024. I included notations for full and new moons and the Dec Solstice (my favorite day!). I wanted to see how my body would feel with the visual.
I liked it but it still felt less…. livable? relevant?
Then I had the inner impulse to make the signs the priority instead of the months and displayed it this way!
This had a strong flutter of aliveness for me.
Something about seeing the color blocking of each sign in this manner felt more relevant.
What I’m going to do is just let it hang out on my screen for the next 3 months and see if these date ranges feel at all related to the inner sensations and experiences I have of the planetary energies or not. Those planetary energies are always alive and loud for me along with the very macro cosmos energies and occasionally the human collective.
Let me know what you think of all this, I’d so welcome your contributions to this open inquiry around calendar reform!
With INFINITE LOVE,
Melanie

I invite humans with a highly gifted brain to work with me privately at this time to accelerate and smooth their evolutionary journey into making their deepest potential manifest in tangible reality in this life.
I work with people privately in short (1 month) or longer containers, entirely customized to your needs. Message me to discuss if this is a fit for each of us now.
Were you born with a highly gifted brain?
Here are some commonalities of those born with highly gifted brains which you may recognize and what they may mean:
(And by the way, being born with a highly gifted brain places you in the top 2% of intrinsic intellectual/creative potential, but it’s just a birth characteristic like being born with green eyes - also only about 2% of the global population, incidentally - or being born with incredible athletic potential.)
Incredibly driven but only motivated by inner factors versus what others say should drive us
Life orients around our insatiable interest in pattern recognition evidenced by phases, often overlapping of 'ALL THE THINGS' compulsive learning and mastery cycles
Our dreams are dramatically crazier and outlandish. We have been told since we were little, "That's not possible," but we don't care what others think so we then defy expectations time and time again
We live our own personal mythology proudly - unicorn horns and wings sparkle and shine, baby. it's not our problem if that makes others feel weird. (When we are telling our mythology to ourselves darkly, this creates a really rough path, however, making the typical 'dark night of the soul' look like just an off day)
We require the experience of forward movement and momentum at a far greater pace and regularity than other people. Very great white shark vibes: forward movement is how we breathe.
Our drive for meaning and purpose is everything.
Even after summiting all the pinnacles, we eventually find ourselves restless and unsatisfied.
This is due to a very specific function of the gifted brain which has not been explored or understood in human history, sciences, or philosophies until now:
The highly gifted brain has a very specific esoteric and metaphysical purpose and function.
Until we unlock that for ourselves, we will remain perennially cycling through our frustrating and unique cycle of...
... new idea, excited building, less enthusiastic completion, achievement finalized, dissatisfaction - even boredom, chasing the next new idea to bloom, rinse/repeat.
Step into this with me! It’s soooooo much fun!!!!
